Pleated blinds have particular features which can assist a specifier in meeting unusual criteria. Pleated shades are ideal for suspension in internal roof shading systems due to their light fabric weight and the ability for them to concertina back out of site when not required. pleat height and a variety of headrail colours with
co-ordinating component parts. A collection of sophisticated fabrics offer high degrees of solar protection due to unique SPC coatings and of course include flame retardant fabrics critical to commercial use.
Types and operation Free hanging - with cord operation, usually has a weighted bottom rail which makes the blind hang better. Rooflight - with side channels and/or perlon wires through the fabric. They may be cord, wand or hand draw operated. Shaped - most window shaped are easily covered using pleated blinds e.g. rectangular, circular, semi circular. Dual function - three rails may be used with a different fabric in each section e.g. with the mid-rail to the headrail, a "daytime" fabric is in the window and from the mid-rail to the bottom rail, a "night time" fabric is viewed
